Collective agreement

As an employee you have rights that are written down both in laws and in collective agreements.

Basic safety for employees is provided through LAS, the Employment Protection Act. Your benefits are developed later through the collective agreement.

What is a collective agreement?

A collective agreement is a written agreement that is drawn up between a trade union and an employer. In Sweden, most terms of employment are regulated in collective agreements and not via legislation. The collective agreement guarantees you basic rights and insurance.

For example:

  • Annual raise in salary
  • Overtime pay
  • Supplementary pay for unsocial working hours
  • Contractual pension

This is why it is important to work at a place of work that has collective agreements!

The collective agreement guarantees you a fixed salary, a contractual pension, parental pay, overtime compensation, influence and much more.

You’ll profit from working in a workplace with a collective agreement and being a member in HRF.
