About HRF

The Hotel and Restaurant Workers’ Union (HRF) is a trade union for employees in hotels, restaurants and entertainment establishments. We are working to improve your salary, your conditions and your work environment.

What does the Hotel and Restaurant Workers’ Union (HRF) do?

We strive to sign collective agreements with employers. Together, we strive to improve your salary, employment conditions and work environment through collective agreements. As a member of a trade union, you will have support and security at your place of work.

Together we’re working to strengthen members’ influence on issues concerning employment conditions and other workplace situations.

The fundamental idea of HRF is that together we can accomplish more than we could individually.

Better conditions

In negotiations with your employer, in salary negotiations, and through formation of opinions, we’re working so you can get better conditions in order to be able to do your job.

The collective agreements that HRF negotiates give you better benefits than the law provides.

Unemployment insurance fund

We also recommend that people join an unemployment fund (a-kassa). The unemployment fund for hotel and restaurant workers is called HRAK and it is a separate organisation.
